Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you at Karolinska Institutet

As an employee, you can contact the EAP (Staff support) directly without the approval of your manager or HR. You always receive a personal service and your case is treated completely anonymously and confidentially in relation to us as an employer and society in general.

The EAP service is available to all Karolinska Institutet employees as well as scholarship-financed doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows
– around the clock, all year round.

At the first contact, you get to talk to a sociologist/behavioral scientist who can provide direct guidance/counselling. If the assessment concludes that there is a need for contact with another specialist, there is a possibility to talk to a psychologist, psychotherapist, lawyer or economist for advice and guidance. The consultations with the specialists take place by telephone.

The EAP includes guidance/support in the following areas:

Important when calling

You need to state Karolinska Institutet and department. This is the key to gaining access to the EAP.

When it comes to the number of calls with a specialist, it is limited to 3 per case
